    Alternator amp testing

    Hello All

Ok.. i was wondering.. if i buy a "high amp Alternator" say small case for this discussion. How do i know im actually getting an alternator with the amperage quoted. Knowing that they are most likely overrated. The pysical sizes look the same.
But how does oneknow/ chk?.. with some external load tester.?..

    Thanks
