Just bought a used 2995dx and it has a rocker switch on the top left rear of the radio as you are looking at the rear. Has a red light to indicate that it's on but it doesn't seem to effect any thing. Any ideas?

maybe a topgun modulator for audio . hmmmmmmmmm
Might be to turn off internai amp some folks think you need to do that to run a 2w dead key on the 2995dx but you don't need to ..

The previous owner said it was a switch to use if you were running DC, but that doesn't make sense to me. It was on there when he bought it but it's not an OEM item. Doesn't seem to effect any thing on or off. Perhaps I will get adventerous some day and open it up and see what I can see. It is a very nice radio and has great receive.
