It should do about 175 to 200 if the radio is tuned right and the linear is in good condition.

it uses two toshiba 2sc2290 pills rated for 60 watts each pep by toshiba for clean output . you can get more that 120 for the pair but it won't be as clean and could be more inclined to adversely effect nearby electronics . considering doubling power has a trivial effect i'd stay around 120ish real pep watts . but it's your equipment so do what makes you happy .

Thanks Booty Monster. Opened it up to see what's inside, it's only 28 years old and still ticking. There are two MFR 435 9422's inside. Was hoping to use on base with 148GTL, but it's sick. Seems ole' Golden Screwdriver got hold of it before me. TR24 is gone which I read upsets the ALC and causes distortion. My SSB drifts all over trans and rec. Now I know why it dead keyed at 4 with no swing on AM.
Any idea what those 9422's put out?
i can't find a data sheet on them
Another discontinued model. I guess when the model T finally dies I gotta quit driving.
