New to cb looking for good antenna set up

I have used the maco V5/8 antenna now since about 1997 and it still works just fine. when I bought mine it was 79.99 shipped to the house back then. the newer versions are even better than the old ones. they use a little better metal in them now. can not go wrong with one of them. the only thing I ever had happen to mine was the ground plane radials broke off during a ice storm. all I did was trim them off some and put slots back in the tube so they would clamp back on. did not effect the swr at all.
